Harbour starts oil production from Maria Phase 2 offshore Norway
Harbour Energy has started oil production from its operated Maria Phase 2 project in Norway.
The Maria Phase 2 revitalization project is a four well subsea tie-back to existing infrastructure in Maria field. Startup of the remaining three wells will follow over the coming months, the company said in a release late last week.
Maria, which was originally developed with two templates, came on stream in 2017 (OGJ Online, Dec. 18, 2017). Phase 2 is expected to add around 27 MMboe to the total field reserves and extend the life of the field to 2040 (OGJ Online, Sept. 1, 2023).
Harbour is operator of Maria field (50%), which lies in the central part of the Norwegian Sea and in the vicinity of the Bergknapp discovery (40% operated interest). The company aquired the asset through its 2023 deal with Wintershall Dea (OGJ Online, Dec. 21, 2023).
ALongside Harbour, partners in Maria Phase 2 are Petoro (30%) and Sval Energi (20%).
