Workers conducted a second, 24-hr strike at three platforms operated by Total SA in the UK North Sea on Aug. 6, as the labor union United had promised in a dispute over wages and hours (OGJ Online, July 24, 2018).
The planned labor action is for 12 and 24-hr work stoppages on alternating weeks on the Alwyn, Elgin, and Dunbar platforms, which produce about 50,000 b/d of oil combined.
