Pegasus International merges with Mentor Project Engineering

Pegasus International Inc., Houston, has merged with Mentor Project Engineering, London. Pegasus said the deal makes it one of the largest independent oil and gas engineering consultants in the world. It said Mentor's experience in floating production, storage, and offloading solutions made it attractive to Pegasus, which has operations in pipeline, process facilities, and electrical engineering.

Pegasus International Inc., Houston, has merged with Mentor Project Engineering, London. Pegasus said the deal makes it one of the largest independent oil and gas engineering consultants in the world.

Terms were not disclosed.

Pegasus spokesman Bill Tink said Mentor's experience in floating production, storage, and offloading solutions made it attractive to Pegasus, which has operations in pipeline, process facilities, and electrical engineering.

The two companies' combined gross revenue last year was more than $40 million. Together, they employed more than 450 persons.

Dane Escott, Pegasus chairman and CEO, said: �This forms a powerful core business combination and instantly enhances our subsea and deepwater field development expertise."

Pegasus said it would expand its offices in Houston and Lafayette, La., and its newly acquired offices in London, Aberdeen, and Kuala Lumpur. It plans to expand to projects in West Africa.
