Contract let for field work onshore Brazil

Parnaiba Gas Natural (PGN) has let a contract to a consortium involving Fluor Corp. and Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comercio related to development of Gaviao Branco natural gas field in Maranhao, Brazil.

Fluor, Construcap, and their 50-50 Brazilian joint venture CFPS will handle engineering, procurement, and construction of an 8.5-million cu m/day gathering system and a pipeline to carry gas to a production and treatment plant at Gaviao Real field (OGJ Online, Jan. 6, 2012).

PGN is an independent exploration and production company that produces an average of 5.5 million cu m/day of Parnaiba basin gas from three fields for the Parnaiba Thermoelectric Complex operated by ENEVA at Santo Antonio dos Lopes, Maranhao.
