HORIZONTAL WELL BOOSTS CRAWFORD FIELD OIL FLOW IN BRITISH NORTH SEA

A horizontal well drilled by Hamilton Bros. Oil & Gas Ltd. will double production from Crawford oil field, one of the smallest in the U.K. North Sea. Hamilton Bros.' 9/28a-16 horizontal well, drilled to 8,450 ft true vertical depth, 11,200 ft measured depth, by the Sedco 703 semisubmersible in the east part of the field, flowed 6,900 b/d through a 72/64 in. choke. It has been suspended and will be tied back to the Northsea Pioneer floating production facility soon.
