CNOOC starts production at Bozhong 28-2
CNOOC Ltd. started production from the Bozhong 28-2 South Oilfield Second Adjustment Project in Bohai Bay, offshore China, in about 21 m of water, the company said in a release Sept. 25.
Production infrastructure includes a central platform and one water-injection subsea pipeline. Twenty-one development wells are planned to be commissioned, including 13 production wells and eight water-injection wells.
The project is expected to achieve a peak production of about 7,600 bo/d in 2024.
CNOOC is operator at Bozhong and holds 100% interest.
