Reports from offshore oil and gas operators compiled by the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement indicate that 16.64% of US Gulf of Mexico oil production, or 320,909 b/d, remains shut in as of midday Sept. 21, following evacuations necessitated by Tropical Storm and Hurricane Ida.
That level is down from 19.19% at midday Sept. 20 and an event peak of around 95.65%, or 1,740,850 b/d, of total US gulf output on Aug. 29.

Personnel are evacuated from 35 production platforms, 6.25% of the 560 manned platforms in the US gulf.
All nondynamically positioned rigs are currently operating in the gulf. One dynamically positioned rig remains off location.
