Arrow restarts well at Tapir block, Llanos basin

Arrow Exploration Corp. restarted production from the Rio Cravo Este-1 (RCE-1) on the Tapir block Colombia’s Llanos basin following increased Brent pricing and negotiations with vendors to lower operating costs.

Arrow Exploration Corp. restarted production from the Rio Cravo Este-1 (RCE-1) on the Tapir block Colombia’s Llanos basin following increased Brent pricing and negotiations with vendors to lower operating costs.

Drilled as exploration well in April 2019 to 10,000 ft MD in the Ubaque formation, the well encountered 103 ft net pay within the C7, Gacheta, and Ubaque formations. The well tested at 613 b/d with 1,172 b/d peak rate.

Effective Dec. 4, Arrow subsidiary Samaria Llanos Exploration entered into an offtake agreement with Frontera Energy Colombia Corp. for oil production from the block. RCE-1 restarted production Dec 5, and by Dec 7, well production was about 443 b/d of 28.5-degree API crude with 71.4% water cut.

Arrow is operator (50%) with partner Petrolco (50%).
