LLOG Exploration Co. LLC plans to drill three additional Who Dat area prospects this year, with the potential for tieback to the Who Dat floating production system as part of its 2024 Gulf of Mexico operations plans.

The privately owned exploration and production company focused on deepwater exploration and development provided an update of recent activity and additional 2024 drilling plans in a release Apr. 2.

Recently, the company began phase two development at Who Dat field with workovers, recompletions, and sidetracks, and initiated operation of a subsea pump. Two wells at the field were completed and tied back, boosting gross oil production to the highest level in the field since 2016, the company said.

In addition to Who Dat, LLOG brought online the operated (100%) Taggart field in 2023 with three wells and commenced production of additional wells at Buckskin and Spruance fields where LLOG is operator with 33.8% and 22.6% working interests, respectively.

The company plans to drill and complete multiple wells across Buckskin field (KC 785, 786, 828, 829, 830, 871, and 872), Leon field (KC 642, 643, 686, and 687), and Castile field (KC 736).

Production

LLOG increased gross operated production at end-February 2024 to over 110,000 boe/d (84% oil). The company’s net production increased to 38,000 boe/d (85% oil) at end-February 2024.
