ADX Energy Ltd. will clean-up Iecea Mica-1 (IMIC-1) in Iecea Mare production license, onshore Romania, and flow test the PA IV reservoir. The testing program is designed to determine production capacity of the well through multiple flow rate measurements and pressure build up response.

IMIC-1 encountered gas across three zones with a combined estimated 20 bcf 2C contingent resources. Testing will concentrate on Pliocene age PA IV sand which has about 20% porosity based on petrophysical logs and good indications of permeability from rock typing work. Recently acquired down hole pressure data has confirmed about 210 bar (3,046 psi) initial pressure. It is a proven reservoir and has the greatest upside reserves potential of the three zones. This reservoir unit has large stratigraphic upside potential which will be further quantified with high resolution 2D seismic scheduled for third-quarter 2020, ADX said.

Previously acquired methane samples were contaminated with drilling fluid, indicating mud filter cake build-up around the well bore and possible invasion damage into the reservoir. Laboratory tests indicate that over 20% of the reservoir calcite and siderite cement can be dissolved by acid, enhancing near well bore permeability.

Produced gas will be sampled to determine suitability of IMIC-1 gas for commercial sales. Expectations based on mudlog data and nearby analogues is that it will produce dry gas requiring minimal processing prior to market delivery.

Service contracts and equipment mobilization are expected to take about 4 weeks and program duration is expected to be 9 days. The cost will be about 230,000 euro including VAT and 10% contingency. ADX will contract and mobilize all necessary acidization equipment including coiled tubing, nitrogen, and acid in Romania.

Danube Petroleum Ltd. holds 100% interest in the Iecea Mare production license (which hosts IMIC-1 and future IMIC-2). Danube is held by Reabold Resources PLC (51%) and ADX (49%).
