Chevron, PTTEP let construction contracts offshore Thailand

The PTTEP scope of work comprises saturation-diving operations for facilities in the PTTEP-operated G1/61 and G2/61 projects.

·       Chevron and PTTEP let two IRM services contracts to Sapura Energy Bhd (SEB).

·       The contracts have a combined value exceeding RM500 million.

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd., Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd., and PTT Exploration and Production Public Comp. Ltd. (PTTEP) have let two installation, removal, subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) services contracts to Sapura Energy Bhd (SEB).

The PTTEP scope of work comprises saturation-diving operations for facilities in the PTTEP-operated G1/61 and G2/61 projects. These operations will use SEB’s Sapura Constructor subsea construction vessel. SEB is already doing subsea IRM work for PTTEP in Malaysia.

Subsea IRM work for Chevron started in second-quarter 2025 and is expected to be completed by end-2026.

The contracts have a combined value exceeding RM500 million ($118 million).
