ATP commences gas production from Garden Banks 186

ATP Oil & Gas Corp., Houston, started gas production Mar. 29 from Garden Banks 186 No. 1 well, of which ATP is the operator with 80% interest.

HOUSTON, Apr. 1 -- ATP Oil & Gas Corp., Houston, started gas production Mar. 29 from Garden Banks 186 No. 1 well, of which ATP is the operator with 80% interest.

A total of 15,660 ft of extended reach drilling penetrated a reservoir at 5,100 ft. Production figures for Garden Banks 186 #1 were unavailable because ATP does not release statistics for individual wells, a spokesman said.

ATP has commenced drilling a second well at Ship Shoal 358. At Garden Banks 186 No. 1, the remaining interest is held by NI Energy Venture Inc., an affiliated company of Nissho Iwai Corp.
