CNOOC Ltd. has started production from Yacheng 13-4 natural gas field offshore Hainan Province, China.
The subsea completion, in the northern part of the South China Sea, is tied back to facilities at Yacheng 13-1 gas-condensate field, which has been on production since 1996 (OGJ Online, Mar. 18, 2009).
CNOOC, with a 100% interest, plans to drill three development wells. Average water depth is 85 m. Production is to peak at 350 million cu m/year in 2013.
