Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has let a $180-million contract to FMC Technologies for the design, manufacture, and supply of subsea production systems for the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) project on the North West Shelf offshore Western Australia.

The GWF-2 project was granted approvals last month (OGJ Online, Dec. 11, 2015).

GWF-2 is expected to develop 1.6 tcf of raw natural gas from six fields using subsea infrastructure and 35 km of 16-in. pipeline connecting to the existing Goodwyn A platform.

FMC will deliver subsea production trees, wellheads, manifolds, subsea, and topside controls as well as flow line connection systems. Deliveries of these components will begin this year and continue through 2018.

GWF-2 is scheduled to come on stream in 2019.
