MIXED METAL HYDROXIDE MUD IMPROVES DRILLING IN UNSTABLE SHALES

Houston A mixed metal hydroxide (MMH) mud reduced some of the hole problems common to offset wells in the Arkoma basin. By specially engineering the MMH rheology, cuttings removal efficiency increased, and well bore problems were minimized.
