The international offshore rig count for March was 244, down 1 unit from February, and down 3 units from the 247 counted in March 2019.

The worldwide rig count for March was 1,964, down 161 units from the 2,125 counted in February, and down 249 units from the 2,213 counted in March 2019.

The average US rig count for March was 772, down 19 from February, and down 251 from the 1,023 counted in March 2019.

Europe was down 7 units with 123 in March and up 23 units year-over-year. Effective June 7, 2019, Ukraine has been added to the Baker Hughes International Rig Count.

Latin America is down 15 units from the previous month with 169 units and down 19 units year-over-year.

The Asia-Pacific region is up 7 with 231 units month-over-month and down 3 units from its year-ago average.

The Middle East up 1 unit month-over-month at 428 and up 33 units year-over-year.

The average Canadian rig count for March was 133, down 116 units from the 249 counted in February, and down 18 units from the 151 counted in March 2019.
