Probert joins TransGlobe Energy as VP, COO

Geoffrey Probert has agreed to join TransGlobe Energy Corp., Calgary, as vice-president and chief operating officer based in London.

Probert has been North Africa managing director for Petroceltic and previously worked with Shell and BHP Billiton.

Lloyd Herrick, currently vice-president and COO, will become executive vice-president.

Promoted in Calgary are Hans Westbroek to director of technical services, Rob Reynolds to director of business development, and Ron Hornseth to general manager-Canada.

Brett Norris, formerly vice-president exploration and technical services, has left the company.
