Vedanta Ltd. submitted the most bids by a single company, 21.
Thirty-nine companies submitted bids, alone or as group members, including Indian state-owned and private companies and small companies from the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, and the UAE.
The license receiving no bids was a Kutch offshore block.
The government plans to award the revenue-sharing licenses by the end of February.
