ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS has let a contract to Rowan Cos. for the Rowan Norway jack up rig.
The contract, subject to partner approval, is expected to begin in this year’s second quarter with an estimated duration of 7 months.
Following the initial contract term, ConocoPhillips can choose a 5 or 9-month option. The Rowan Norway is currently under contract with Turkish Petroleum in the Mediterranean Sea until late April.
