Chaparral Energy adds to leadership team

Mark Ver Hoeve joined Chaparral in 2017 as vice-president, geoscience. Previously he served as vice-president, exploration and development, for Discovery Natural Resources, where he was responsible for leading the development of the company’s Midland basin properties.

Josh Walker joined Chaparral in 2018 as vice-president, completions and operations. Before joining Chaparral, Walker was the innovation manager at Chesapeake Energy Co., where he assembled and led a team focused on operations research and development, new and emerging technologies, and data analytics. He also served as completions manager for Chesapeake’s Midcontinent, Eagle Ford, Utica, and Marcellus plays.

Clint Calhoun joined Chaparral this year as vice-president, resource development. He previously cofounded the Merge and SCOOP focused Travis Peak Resources in 2013, where he served as vice-president, engineering, providing assessment and development strategy, budgeting, and management of operations for its Appalachia and Midcontinent assets.
