Wolf Midstream launches open season for Big Spring to Midland line

Wolf Midstream Partners LLC, Dallas, launched a binding open season for crude oil transportation commitments for the proposed Gray Wolf Crude Connector, a new pipeline to serve the Midland basin.

Wolf Midstream Partners LLC, Dallas, launched a binding open season for crude oil transportation commitments for the proposed Gray Wolf Crude Connector, a new pipeline to serve the Midland basin.

WIth an initial capacity of 120,000 b/d, the 55-mi Gray Wolf Crude Connector will originate near Big Spring, Tex. and connect to Midland, Tex., with multiple joint tariff options to access the Corpus Christi/Ingleside export market. It will connect to Wolf’s Red Wolf Crude Connector near Big Spring, Tex., which connects to Wolf’s existing crude oil terminal near Colorado City, Tex. Binding open season for Red Wolf Crude Connector has been extended to 4 pm CST on Jan. 21, 2019.

Construction on Gray Wolf Crude Connector has begun. Pending results of the open season, which also runs through 4 pm CST on Jan. 21, 2019, the company expects the line to begin commercial operations in fourth quarter 2019.
