Saddlehorn, ARB launch open season Colorado to Cushing

Saddlehorn Pipeline Co. LLC and ARB Midstream LLC have launched an open season for crude oil transportation commitments for a joint tariff from the future Matador pipeline through the Saddlehorn pipeline to Cushing, Okla.

The 190,000-b/d Saddlehorn crude oil pipeline, which extends from the DJ basin to storage facilities in Cushing, is jointly owned by affiliates of Magellan Midstream Partners LP, Plains All American Pipeline LP, and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (OGJ Online, Mar. 19, 2015).

The Matador line, under development in Colorado’s Adams and Weld counties by ARB subsidiary DJ South Gathering LLC, is expected to be in service by late 2019 with an initial capacity of 220,000 b/d and connectivity to Saddlehorn’s Platteville, Colo., origin for delivery to Cushing.

The open season runs through 5 pm CST on Dec. 7.
