Kinder Morgan Inc., Houston, has launched a binding open season to solicit commitments for additional capacity on the Plantation Pipeline system.
The Roanoke Expansion will provide 21,000 b/d of incremental refined petroleum products capacity on the system from the Baton Rouge, La. and Collins, Miss. origin points to the Roanoke, Va. area. The expansion will primarily consist of additional pump capacity and operational storage.
Subject to results of the open reason and receipt of regulatory approvals, the project is expected to be in service by Apr. 1, 2020.
The open season ends Nov. 16, but the company could extend the run as needed.
