Overview of O&G applications that use or could use a Roller Screws

By far the most common application is to use a roller screw as part of a gate valve. These valves necessarily have a need to move the gate linearly to open or close the valve. High efficiency screws are most often considered for high pressures and high diameter where the forces to move the gate are high. Roller screws with shaft diameters as small as 5mm can be used as part of a down hole tool and Screws with shaft diameters over 100mm can be used for applications with the highest load requirements.
