Varco International acquires Bradon Industries

Varco International Inc., Houston, has acquired through a subsidiary the capital stock of Bradon Industries Ltd. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Bradon is a manufacturer of coiled tubing units as well as a provider of industrial plant services and construction in Canada.

HOUSTON, Mar. 28�Varco International Inc., Houston, has acquired through a subsidiary the capital stock of Bradon Industries Ltd. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Bradon is a manufacturer of coiled tubing units as well as a provider of industrial plant services and construction in Canada.

Bradon joins Varco's Coiled Tubing/Wireline Products Group and will operate as Hydra Rig Canada.

"Bradon expands our business in the active Canadian coiled tubing drilling and well intervention market," said George Boyadjieff, chairman and CEO of Varco. " � Bradon has developed specialized equipment to meet the needs of the Canadian well service industry."

Varco is a manufacturer and supplier of drilling equipment and rig instrumentation, oilfield tubular inspections and internal coating techniques, solids control systems and services, and coiled tubing and pressure control equipment.
