TRANSOCEAN APPOINTS MEY AS NEW CFO

Mey

Transocean Ltd. has appointed Mark Mey as executive vice president and CFO, effective May 28, following the departure of Esa Ikaheimonen. Ikaheimonen resigned as executive vice president and CFO, and also resigned his company-appointed position as chairman of the board of directors of Transocean Partners LLC, a subsidiary of Transocean. Mey most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Atwood Oceanics. Including his almost five years at Atwood, he has over 28 years of experience in the energy and financial services industries in both the US and South Africa. Prior to Atwood, Mey was senior vice president and CFO and a director of Scorpion Offshore Ltd. He also held positions of increasing responsibility during his 12 years with offshore driller Noble Corp., including as vice president and treasurer. Mey earned an advanced diploma in accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He is a chartered accountant, and attended the Harvard Business School Executive Advanced Management Program.

APACHE EXECUTIVE EICHLER TO RETIRE

After 21 years with Apache Corp., Rodney J. Eichler, executive vice president and executive advisor to the CEO, has retired. Eichler joined the company in 1993 as regional exploration and development manager for the US Rocky Mountain region in Denver, Colorado, and was promoted in 1996 to regional vice president for the Western Region in Houston. He moved to Egypt in 1997 as the vice president of exploration and production, and became the regional vice president in 1999. He served in Egypt for 12 years before returning to Houston as the co-COO and president-International. In 2011, he was promoted to president and COO, where he served for two years before taking on the role of CEO-Kitimat LNG (Upstream) until the company's LNG interests were sold in April. During his service at Apache, Eichler served as the chairman and as a director of Springboard - Educating the Future, a nonprofit corporation that funded construction of 200 schools for girls in Egypt's rural villages. Eichler also served on the boards of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the Australian American Chamber of Commerce, the US-Egypt Business Council, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Prior to joining the company, Eichler served in the capacity of vice president of exploration for Axem Resources LLC in Denver, and held geologist and management roles for Tenneco Oil Co. Eichler received his bachelor's and master's degrees in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He is a certified professional geologist, and a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.

MARSH TO SUCCEED SADLER AS LLOYD'S REGISTER CEO

Lloyd's Register's Richard Sadler will step down as CEO at the end of 2015 following eight years in the role. He joined LR in 1976 from the Royal Navy. He moved to Royal Bank of Scotland in 2004 as director of ship asset management, and re-joined LR in 2006 as EMEA director. He was named CEO in July 2007. Following a search for Sadler's replacement, The Lloyd's Register Group Ltd. board appointed current CFO, Alastair Marsh, as Sadler's successor. Marsh joined LR as group financial controller in April 2007 and was appointed as group finance director in April 2008. Previously, Marsh held a number of senior financial management positions, including CFO and company secretary of Superscape Group plc, and prior to that he held similar roles at Easynet Group plc, Laporte plc, and NCR Corp. Marsh is a graduate of Edinburgh University. Sadler will pass the CEO role to Marsh on October 1, 2015 and commence a formal handover period until the end of December 2015. Simon Nice, group FP&A director, will serve as interim group financial director during the transition.

MAGELLAN NAMES NEW CFO

Magellan Petroleum Corp. has appointed Antoine J. Lafargue as the company's new senior vice president, CFO, treasurer, and corporate secretary. The appointment follows the June 19, 2015 planned resignation of Matthew R. Ciardiello as vice president, CFO, treasurer, and corporate secretary. Lafargue served as the company's senior vice president of strategy and business development and chief commercial officer since October 2014. He served as the company's vice president, CFO, and treasurer from August 2010 to October 2014. According to J. Thomas Wilson, president and CEO of the company, Ciardiello "wanted to develop his career in a different industry and at a company backed by private equity investors, with which he had prior experience. Matt has been a valuable member of our team and we wish him well in his new endeavor."

IWCF NAMES FIRST CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

Conroy

The International Well Control Forum (IWCF), an independent organization that sets international well control standards, has appointed David Conroy as its first chief technical officer. Based at the organization's UK headquarters, Conroy will be developing this new role to lead changes to the technical aspects of IWCF's services, including exam quality, program development, curriculum, and training. Conroy has 20 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry. He will join IWCF in July from Schlumberger, where he has held a variety of positions for over 10 years, most recently serving as Drilling & Engineering director of curriculum in Dubai. Conroy holds a PhD in geology from The Queen's University of Belfast, Ireland, which initially led him to roles in geological surveying. Since joining the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen, Scotland, he has worked in a variety of positions in Norway, Oman, and the US (in Houston). The IWCF is the only independent body focused on oil and gas well training and accreditation.

FORMER FERC COMMISSIONER JOINS BERKELEY RESEARCH GROUP

Branko Terzic, a former Commissioner at both the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Wisconsin's Public Service Commission, has joined advisory and consulting firm Berkeley Research Group's Washington, DC office. Terzic, who also served as CEO of a NYSE-listed holding company with a subsidiary regulated public utility and unregulated operations, has expertise in national and international utility regulation, valuation and depreciation, rate and tariff studies, and regulatory policy for conventional, renewable and distributed electricity resources. Terzic has experience as an expert witness before state public-service commissions and committees of Congress. His international energy experience includes serving as regional managing partner for a major professional services and audit firm in central and eastern Europe and chairmanship of an international committee of experts on cleaner electricity under the UN Economic Commission for Europe.

LING NAMED GM AT IRM SYSTEMS

Delft, The Netherlands-based IRM Systems, has opened a new base of operations in Houston, Texas. Currently, the new Houston base offering its integrity assessment, mitigation, inspection, repair and maintenance services to operators in South America and the Caribbean. It will support customers throughout The Americas, as far north as the Arctic. One of the primary aims of the Houston enterprise is to further develop its risk management services, particularly its integrity assessment and mitigation capabilities for pipelines, steel catenary risers, and fixed risers. Danny Ling was appointed general manager - The Americas for IRM Systems. IRM Systems specializes in developing, implementing and operating Emergency Pipeline Repair Systems (EPRS) and pipeline integrity services.

STONE ENERGY PROMOTES MESSONNIER

Stone Energy Corp. has promoted Thomas L. Messonnier to vice president - planning, marketing and midstream. Messonnier has over 30 years of industry experience and joined Stone in June 2004. He has served the company in several capacities, including director of strategic planning, business development and reserves, GOM exploitation manager, and reservoir engineering manager. Messonnier received his MBA with a concentration in finance from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

CIMAREX CFO TO RETIRE; SUCCESSOR NAMED

Paul Korus, CFO of Denver, CO-based Cimarex Energy Co., has informed management and the board of his plans to retire on or before September 1, 2015. Mark Burford has been named CFO effective as of Korus' retirement. Burford joined Cimarex in 2005 and is currently serving as vice president of capital markets and planning.

SOUTHCROSS APPOINTS MOXLEY AS SVP, CCO

Southcross Energy Partners LP has appointed Joel D. Moxley as senior vice president and chief commercial officer of Southcross Energy Partners GP LLC, the general partner of Southcross. In the newly created role, Moxley will lead and the coordination and focus of Southcross' existing commercial team, including contracting, marketing, scheduling and customer relations for both natural gas and natural gas liquids, as well as business development. Moxley has over 30 years of midstream commercial and operations experience. Previously, Moxley served as senior vice president of operations services for the Crestwood companies. Prior to Crestwood, Moxley was senior vice president of Crosstex Energy LP. Moxley's experience also includes midstream leadership roles at Enterprise, El Paso Corp., PG&E Corp., Valero Energy Corp. and Occidental Petroleum. Moxley served as the immediate past chairman of the Gas Processors Association and as a board member of the Texas Pipeline Association. He received a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University.

KEY ENERGY SERVICES NAMES DRUMMOND PRESIDENT, COO

Robert Drummond has joined Key Energy Services Inc. as president and COO. Richard J. Alario will remain Key's chairman and CEO. Drummond was formerly employed by Schlumberger for 31 years, serving in various positions of increasing responsibility including management, business development, and operations. He most recently served as president of Schlumberger Ltd.'s North American business unit. Drummond is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and serves as a director of the National Ocean Industries Association and is a member of its Executive Committee. In addition, he serves on the board of directors for the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association and the Houston Offshore Energy Center.

LUNDIN PETROLEUM APPOINTS SCHNEITER PRESIDENT, CEO

Lundin Petroleum AB has appointed Alex Schneiter as president and CEO following Ashley Heppenstall's decision to step down from his executive position. The changes take effect Oct. 1. Heppenstall has served as president and CEO since 2002, and will remain on Lundin's board. Schneiter has served as executive vice president and COO of Lundin Petroleum since its inception in 2001. Nick Walker, who recently joined the company as senior vice president of development and operations, will assume the role of COO, also effective Oct. 1.

ALLEGRO NAMES FRANK BRIENZI CEO

Allegro Development Corp., a provider of commodity risk management software, has appointed Frank Brienzi as CEO. He will also join Allegro's board of directors. Brienzi joins Allegro from Misys, a global software company based in London, specializing in banking, capital markets, lending, and enterprise trading and risk management. He was president and chief sales officer. Prior to Misys, Brienzi served as senior vice president and general manager of Oracle's Financial Services Global Business Unit and as a member of the board of directors for Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. Brienzi began his career with EDS in 1984, as part of the Financial Services Strategic business unit, responsible for large-scale banking and insurance development, sales and account management. Previously, Brienzi was a managing partner at Accenture.

CEONA APPOINTS NEW CEO

Ceona, a subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines contractor with deepwater subsea construction capabilities, has promoted Mark Preece, the company's executive vice president of commercial and business development, to the role of CEO. Preece takes over from current CEO, Steve Preston, who, after 40 years in the industry, has decided to retire from operational management and step down.

FIRST RESERVE EXPANDS TEAM

O'Keefe

Luke O'Keefe has joined First Reserve, a private equity and infrastructure investment firm exclusively focused on energy. The 30-year industry veteran joins the firm's energy infrastructure team in Greenwich, Connecticut. O'Keefe previously served as vice president of technical risk for General Electric's Energy Financial Services business. He served as the US and European technical leader for the underwriting, construction and management of power projects. Prior to GE, O'Keefe worked at Texaco Inc.

PORTER ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF TEXAS RAILROAD COMMISSION

Commissioner David Porter was unanimously elected chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission. Porter assumes the chairman role from Chairman Christi Craddick.

WILLIAMS NAMES MILLER GENERAL COUNSEL

Williams has named Sarah Miller as general counsel of the company, effective June 20. Miller will lead Williams' legal team, succeeding Craig Rainey, who has retired. Miller, who previously served as vice president, corporate secretary, and assistant general counsel for the company's corporate secretary team, was appointed to the interim general counsel position in March. Miller joined Williams in 2000 and has served in a variety of legal leadership roles. In addition to serving as corporate secretary and assistant general counsel, she has also served as senior counsel for the company's midstream business, and as senior attorney for the legal department's business development team. Prior to joining Williams, Miller was a litigation associate at Crowe & Dunlevy. She earned a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, and her JD degree from Oklahoma City University.

BRITO APPOINTED SVP, INVESTOR RELATIONS FOR SANCHEZ ENERGY

Sanchez Energy Corp. has appointed Jaime Brito as senior vice president of investor relations, effective June 15. Brito brings more than 20 years of financial and operating experience in the energy sector. Previously, Brito served in various operational roles at Rosetta Resources Inc. He has also served in several investor relations positions at Mariner Energy Inc. and Halliburton. Brito earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil and environmental engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University.
