Idaho gas-condensate discovery gauged

HOUSTON, Apr. 29 -- Canadian independents gauged gas at the stable rate of 4.2 MMcfd plus condensate at an indicated discovery in western Idaho.

Calgary firms Bridge Resources Corp. and Paramax Resources Ltd. said flow at the M.L. Investments 1-10, in NE NW 10-8n-4w, Payette County, was from an unstimulated perforated interval at undisclosed depth in a Pliocene sand. They gauged the flow on a 24/64-in. choke with 1,550 psi flowing surface pressure.

Production tubing and wellhead equipment are being installed to further flow tests and pressure buildup analysis.

After the well is completed, the companies will move the completion rig to test Espino 1-2, in NE SE 2-7n-4w, Payette County, which encountered gas in several sands of Pliocene age.

There was no early indication when the well might go on sustained production. Idaho has not been a hydrocarbon producing state.
