– Oil and gas are flared from Cretaceous Austin chalk during horizontal drilling at the Pryme Oil & Gas Ltd. Deshotels 20H-1 well near North Bayou Jack field in Avoyelles Parish, La.

Pryme has drilled 68% of the planned 4,500-ft lateral at 18,368 ft measured depth, 15,248 ft true vertical depth. The lateral has intersected multiple oil and gas-bearing fractures, and hydrocarbons are being flared.

Pryme has a 40% working interest in the well, the first deep well in the 80 sq mile Turner Bayou 3D seismic survey area.
