HOUSTON, Jan. 20
– Agora Oil & Gas (UK) AS took a farmout from Serica Energy PLC covering UK East Irish Sea blocks 113/26b and 113/27c.

The blocks contain the Conan and Doyle prospects. Serica holds 100% interest in the blocks.

An exploration well at Conan 70% funded by Agora is to be drilled in the second quarter of 2010 to 5,000 ft. Agora will earn a 35% interest in the blocks, and Serica will retain 65% and remain operator.

Conan is a 28 sq km Triassic Sherwood sand gas prospect identified on 3D seismic adjacent to the producing Millon gas field and the recent Rhyl gas discovery. It is believed to be the largest undrilled Sherwood seismic anomaly in the East Irish Sea.
