HOUSTON, Aug. 3 – Inpex Corp., Tokyo, let a contract to OHM Rock Solid Images, Houston, for a seismic attribute and facies classification study for Block 31 off Suriname.

The project will incorporate seismic information from a 1,600 sq km 3D volume and log data acquired in a single well.

OHM has completed a seismic inversion project off Guyana and numerous similar projects in the emerging transform margin play of West Africa from which it identified rock property-driven seismic signatures via artificial neural networks to yield a reservoir characterization based on seismic facies.
