HOUSTON, Aug. 11 -- Sino Gas & Energy Holdings Ltd., Sydney, is preparing to spud the TB-08 well as a step-out from the TB-07 well that flowed an estimated 2.9 MMscfd of coalbed methane on the 2,616 sq km Linxing block in northern China.

TB-08 is designed to verify the extent of the same reservoir sands encountered in TB-07.

The company is also working to start a feasibility study for a pilot development work program on its acreage and will study gas marketing options. A target market for gas sales from the pilot will be the expanding compressed natural gas industry in Shanxi Province.
