HOUSTON, Oct. 16
– DNO International ASA, Oslo, signed a letter of intent to participate in exploring the 2,428-sq-km Chorbane onshore permit in Tunisia, said AuDAX Resources Ltd., Perth.

DNO would earn half of DNO’s 100% interest in the mostly onshore permit west of Sfax by paying the cost of the first exploration well, subject to conditions.

Previous exploration identified a number of prospects and leads, the most prospective being the large Sidi Daher structure with multiple oil targets and a recoverable prospective resource of 20-80 million bbl by AuDAX’s estimate.

The forward work commitment requires reprocessing of 1,000 line-km of 2D seismic and drilling one exploration well.
