    HOUSTON, Oct. 30     – Axis Onshore LP, Dallas, set production casing at the Jack Allen-7 well on the West Catahoula Lake prospect in Catahoula Parish, La., after logs indicated 40 ft of net oil pay in multiple Middle Wilcox Trend sands. TD is 4,400 ft.

    The objective was to establish production in sands encountered in the Axis Onshore Jack Allen-3 and 4 wells. In addition to the targeted sands, a number of new oil bearing sands were also found, setting up several potential development locations.

    Pryme Oil & Gas Ltd., Brisbane, has a 25% working interest in the well.
