HOUSTON, Nov. 23 – HRT Petroleum, Rio de Janeiro, has formed a holding company named HRT Participacoes SA and an exploration and production company called HRT Oil & Gas.
HRT Oil & Gas initially will explore for oil and gas on 21 blocks in northwestern Brazil’s Solimoes basin in the Amazon region using funds from a just-concluded $275 million private placement.
HRT Petroleum will continue to offer consulting services to the oil and gas market in a fully independent manner.
