Average receipts for the period were 8.4 bcf, compared with 7.9 bcf in 1990.

Total shipments out of Alberta this year were up 9% at 1.23 tcf. Within the province, deliveries were down 5% at 285 bcf.

At the Alberta-British Columbia border, total deliveries were about flat at 265 bcf, compared with 271 bcf in 1990. This gas was shipped mainly to California by Pan-Alberta Gas Ltd., 50% owned by Nova, and by Alberta & Southern Gas Co. Ltd.

Nova expects gas volumes for all of 1991 to exceed the record level achieved in 1990.

The company set annual throughput records in each of the past 4 years, with total volume of 2.9 tcf in 1990 up about 25% from 2.35 tcf in 1987. During the same 4 year period, average receipts increased to 7.9 bcfd in 1990 from 6.4 bcfd in 1987.

Meanwhile, Nova placed a $22 million pipe order with Stelpipe of Welland, Ont., a Stelco Inc. unit. The order covers 132 miles of 20 and 24 in. pipe for use in Alberta.
