The U.S. Minerals Management Service has issued final details for an Aug. 21 western Gulf of Mexico lease sale. The sale, No. 135, will be held at the Clarion Hotel in New Orleans. It will offer 4,287 blocks totaling 23.6 million acres 9-220 miles off Texas and Louisiana in 83,000 m of water. Some 1,184 blocks in waters less than 400 m will be offered for 5 year terms and 16 2/3 royalty. Offered with 12.5% royalty are 467 blocks in 400-900 m of water for 8 year terms and 2,636 blocks in waters

The sale, No. 135, will be held at the Clarion Hotel in New Orleans. It will offer 4,287 blocks totaling 23.6 million acres 9-220 miles off Texas and Louisiana in 83,000 m of water.

Some 1,184 blocks in waters less than 400 m will be offered for 5 year terms and 16 2/3 royalty.

Offered with 12.5% royalty are 467 blocks in 400-900 m of water for 8 year terms and 2,636 blocks in waters of 900 m or more for 10 year terms.
