Restrictors are mounted on flexible flow lines to prevent collapse in free spans and at flow line ends. Maritime Seanor, Nesbru, Norway, developed the restrictor under contract from Coflexip Stena Offshore Norge and says this is the first made of this material. The restrictor consists of two half-shells whose material maintains its properties and ductility at low temperatures. Ticon Plastindustrier A/S, Drammen, Norway, is the manufacturer under subcontract.
