RUSSIA TO TRIM LIST OF OIL EXPORTERS
Russia has decided to cut to 10 the number of companies allowed to export crude oil and petroleum products out of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The decision was made by Russia's Foreign Economic Relations and Energy ministries, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.
Currently 28 organizations are licensed to export crude oil from the C.I.S, and 60 are licensed to export products. AFP reported about 24 licenses to export products were reworked by the ministry in August.
Both ministries are under investigation by an anticorruption commission. The commission recently alleged there had been an abuse of power in allotting sale quotas and licenses, AFP reported.
