An Ashland Oil Inc. unit has signed a production sharing contract with Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) covering two blocks off Nigeria. Ashland, which has operated in Nigeria since 1974, currently produces about 26,000 b/d of oil under a contract with NNPC covering OPL 118 and OPL 98.
