Albania will seek foreign participation in enhanced oil recovery and development projects in its oil fields.
Petroconsultants SA, Geneva, will publish a comprehensive data package on Albania's oil fields in May 1992 on behalf of state owned Technical Institute for Oil & Gas (ITNG), Patos. Petroconsultants says the EOR proposals provide the only opening for new investments in Albania's upstream sector because all offshore acreage is under license and onshore exploration must await enabling legislation and other preparations. ITNG is expected to negotiate contracts for development and EOR on a production sharing basis with companies that purchase the $60,000 data package.
