WISCONSIN ISSUES WELL PERMIT

Wisconsin has issued a drilling permit for a remote Midcontinent rift system wildcat. Terra Energy, Ltd., Traverse City, Mich., plans to spud the well soon in 22-47n-6w, Bayfield County. Projected depth is 6,000 ft into Middle Proterozoic Copper Harbor conglomerate. The objective is oil in Middle Proterozoic Nonesuch shale, just above Copper Harbor.
