Production Report DOE field demonstration program logs successes

Merle Grabhorn University of Tulsa at the National Institute for Petroleum & Energy Research Bartlesville, Okla. The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Class I field demonstration program shows that additional oil can be economically recovered from domestic reservoirs by using "off-the-shelf" technology. The program also shows that any operator, regardless of size and technical expertise, can add reserves by applying proper science and engineering.

Merle Grabhorn is a technology transfer engineer for Tulsa University, currently working within BDM-Oklahoma's technology transfer group at the National Institute for Petroleum & Energy Research (Niper) in Bartlesville, Okla.

He previously worked for a number of service companies and producing companies as an exploration geophysicist and geophysical consultant.
