Anne K. Rhodes Refining/Petrochemical Editor Danish North Sea blend was assayed earlier this year. The light, sweet crude comprises crude oil from 10 fields. Production ratios at time of sampling were estimated to be: Dan (29.2%), Gorm (22.3%), Skjold (14.8%), Tyra West (13.1%), Regnar (6.6%), Tyra Ost (5.7%) Kraka (4.1%), Valdermar (2.7%), Rolf (1.1%), and Dagmar (0.4%). The 1994 International Petroleum Encyclopedia reported production of 162,50 b/d.

The most recent Journal production survey pegged the number of producing wells at 120.

The crude is piped from offshore production facilities to the A/S Dansk Shell refinery at Fredericia, Denmark. Fig. 1 shows the boiling point curve for the crude, and Fig. 2 illustrates the metals content (vanadium, nickel, and iron), as a function of distillation temperature.
