COMPRESSORS READY AT KOREAN LNG SITE

At an LNG terminal at Pyeongtaek on the west coast of South Korea, state-owned Korea Gas Corp. recently commissioned these two labyrinth-piston compressors supplied by the Siilzer-Bitrckhardt Engineering Works Ltd., Winterthur, Switzerland. The compressors balance the pressure in the six LNG storage tanks by drawing off the boil-off gas and moving it either to export pipelines or to reliquefaction. Copyright 1994 Oil & Gas Journal.
