Evolution Petroleum has elected Kelly Loyd as interim chief executive officer to succeed Jason Brown, president and chief executive officer, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Brown had served in his roles since since July 2019. Before Evolution, he was the founder of LongBow Energy and a co-founder and officer of Halcon Resources.
Loyd has been a director of the company since 2008 and currently chairs the investment committee of the board of directors. Since 2004, he has been associated with energy investment vehicles Petralis Energy Partners LLC and JVL Advisors LLC, Evolution said.
