Noreco appoints CEO

Norwegian Energy Co. ASA (Noreco), Oslo, has appointed Euan Shirlaw as chief executive officer, effective immediately, the company said in a May 12 release.

Norwegian Energy Co. ASA (Noreco), Oslo, has appointed Euan Shirlaw as chief executive officer, effective immediately, the company said in a May 12 release.

Shirlaw has been chief financial officer of the company since the acquisition of Shell’s upstream assets in the Danish Underground Consortium in 2019, and has, since November 2021, also served as acting managing director (OGJ Online, Oct. 17, 2018).

The company said in his new role, Shirlaw “will also continue to fulfill his previous responsibilities as chief financial officer.”

Marianne Eide has been promoted to chief operating officer. Eide served as executive vice-president of upstream and will continue to oversee the company’s upstream assets in Denmark.
