Vermilion appoints Hatcher to succeed Hicks as president

Vermilion Energy Inc., Calgary, has appointed Dion Hatcher as president, effective Jan. 1, 2022. He will replace Curtis Hicks, Vermilion's current president, who will step down and continue as an advisor to the company until April 1, 2022.

Vermilion Energy Inc., Calgary, has appointed Dion Hatcher as president, effective Jan. 1, 2022. He will replace Curtis Hicks, Vermilion's current president, who will step down and continue as an advisor to the company until April 1, 2022.

Hatcher has over 25 years of industry experience and has spent the last 15 years in a variety of leadership roles at Vermilion. He most recently held the position of vice-president, North America over the past year and as vice-president of the Canadian business unit for 5 years prior to that.

Hicks joined Vermilion in 2003 as executive vice-president and chief financial officer and retired in 2018. He returned in 2020 to assist Vermilion during the recent downturn and associated management changes.
