Setoguchi to succeed Smith as Keyera CEO

Dean Setoguchi, currently president and chief commercial officer of Keyera Corp., will become president and chief executive officer and join the board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Dean Setoguchi, currently president and chief commercial officer of Keyera Corp., will become president and chief executive officer and join the board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2021.

David Smith, the company’s current chief executive officer, plans to retire from Keyera and the board, effective Dec. 31, after 22 years with the company.

Jamie Urquhart, Keyera's vice-president of marketing, has been appointed senior vice-president and chief commercial officer, effective Sept. 1.

Setoguchi has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He joined Keyera in 2008 as vice president and chief financial officer. He was appointed Keyera's chief commercial officer in 2018 and promoted to Keyera's president and chief commercial officer in March (OGJ Online, Feb. 6, 2020).

Urquhart has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including 15 years with Keyera.
