Petronas names new president, group chief executive

Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz has been appointed president and group chief executive officer of Petronas, effective July 1, following the retirement of Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin on June 30. Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee has been appointed by the government to become chairman of Malaysia Airlines Berhad after 37 years with Petronas.

Tengku Muhammad Taufik is currently executive vice-president and group chief financial officer of Petronas.
