NOSPCO lets marine contract for Kamose Phase 4
North Sinai Petroleum Co. (NOSPCO) has let a marine warranty survey services contract to ABL, part of ABL Group ASA, for work on the Kamose offshore gas field development on the Eastern flank of the Nile Delta in the Mediterranean Sea.
The contract supports offshore construction and includes technical review and approval of all project documentation, procedures, drawings, and calculations. ABL also will deliver marine assurance and risk services for the proposed fleet, including DP (dynamic positioning) trials and consulting where relevant. The contract scope also provides for on-site attendance to witness and approve all warranted operations for the transportation and installation of Phase 4 offshore infrastructure.
Kamose Phase 4 includes construction and installation of three new offshore production platforms (Hoor-1&2, KSE-1, Snefru-1), as well as the drilling of three wells via wellhead platforms and production connection through installation of an 11-km flowline to the existing production network. The infrastructure will be connected to the main offshore pipeline and integrated with the mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) already in place at the field.
NOSPCO, an Egypt Kuwait Holding company, is operator of the offshore North Sinai concession, which spans 355 sq km. The concession is projected to hold 2,352 bcf in total natural gas resources and 112 million bbl in condensates, NOSPCO noted on its website, citing 3D seismic surveys conducted in 2018.
